Is everybody in?
Is everybody in?
Is everybody in?
The ceremony is about to begin.
WAKE UP!
You can't remember where it was
had this dream stopped?
Awake
Shake dreams from your hair
My pretty child, my sweet one.
Choose the day and choose the sign of your day
The day's divinity
First thing you see.
A vast radiant beach in a cool jeweled moon
Couples naked race down by it's quiet side
And we laugh like soft, mad children
Smug in the wooly cotton brains of infancy
The music and voices are all around us.
Choose they croon the Ancient Ones
The time has come again
Choose now, they croon
Beneath the moon
Beside an ancient lake
Enter again the sweet forest
Enter the hot dream
Come with us
Everything is broken up and dances.

This was the first Doors album I ever bought when I was about 14, I still love it. I bought it because "Touch Me" was on it, but I love this song too, and Runnin Blues . . . It pisses me off when critics say it's an embarrasment, they obviously haven't listened to it properly . . .

Musically...I think this song represents the whole gambit of who the Doors were.
"....this is the best part of the trip...this is the trip.... the best part....I really like..what did he say???? " Man...you just gotta love that!!!
Rock on Jimbo!!
